rise to meet with the vaulted ceiling high above. Stone sarcophagi, engraved
with the visages of kings, keep their eternal watch over the chamber from
each corner. Except for a small, dust covered plaque that is affixed to the
north wall, the gray walls are cold and barren of decoration or adornment.

A stone chalice rests here collecting bitter tears of the forgotten.
A delicate woolen shawl has been carelessly dropped here.
